Dear Shaded Viewers,

I was in Milan during Men’s Fashion Week and my first stop was at the showroom of County of Milan to meet with Marcelo Burlon and see what I missed in Florence. Marcelo hosted a succesful out of ordinary catwalk at Pitti (click here to see the video) with the participation of Bonanza Motocross Bikers. The signature styles have always been the geometrical prints, the graphics and the world of wildlife animals, this season however the brand has taken an other intresting path: the world of bikers, that becomes a fascinating angle to create a new cool look not only on your two-wheeler. The focus is on materials used to create high-padded pieces such as racing trousers and tops, as well as a special fabric that glows when hit by the light (check the picture with Marcelo himself modelling for me), used to create ponchos or windjackets. Esoteric symbols and slogans such as “Muerte” (erased) and “Fuego” are a strong message to be worn by those who are not afraid of experimenting a new take on contemporary sporstwear; like the leather basketball pieces or the combo made of sweatshirt and sweatpants, that looks as a nowadays version of a classic suit. A touch of colors is always present with the use of 3D motifs, another key element of County of Milan’s identity. As you can see in the video of the show, the collection is designed for a posse of cool ones, not only models, but singers, personalities, creatives and street people, like you could be. It’s a collection designed for real creative people that enhances a true sense of belonging. In one word: captivating. A cultural boost that makes you feel like you want to be part of this worldwide crew. I wanna be part of it, do you?
