Last week, Issey Miyake unveiled “UROKO”, the latest addition to its eyewear collection, created in collaboration with Japanese ceramicist Shoji Kamoda.
Breaking from the conventional two-lens silhouette — and daring to ask, why stop there? — the brand expands to eight lenses, arranged in sequence around the frame. The design takes cues from Kamoda’s signature ceramic works, known for their distinctive, scale-like patterns, and was conceived for IM MEN Spring/Summer 2026, titled “Dancing Texture.”

Combining advanced 3D printing with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, UROKO showcases a series of intricate surface details and bespoke concave cuts designed to fit its sculptural titanium frame. Made in Japan, the model is lightweight yet texturally rich, finished with a subtle brushed sheen that reflects its organic inspiration.
Available in both optical and tinted versions, the UROKO frames are priced at ¥99,000 JPY (approx. $632 USD) and will be available through Issey Miyake boutiques from February 27, 2026.
