Dear Diane, dear Shaded Viewers,

I’m happy to share with you the new BIIS.es collection “Litter” that’s inspired by those daily objects we overlook… like the precedent “Bling”, this one is so obvious it hurts and again I love to see how its déjà vu air becomes an asset rather than a flaw, demonstrating that successful visions ain’t just about going far beyond what’s in front of you but also getting to frame what’s right under your nose, making it afresh and desirable as if you’re pulling out a wicked re-enactment rather than a tired ready-made trick.

All these pieces are made on precious metals -pink and white gold, silver, etc.- and funnily enough the techniques to make them look like average crap are extremely challenging and difficult… that’s why some of the best shops around the world -Colette, Tom Greyhound, Steven Alan, Ohh!, Kapok, Frip, etc.- are selling them like hot cakes.

Even the spoof Toscani’s campaign for Benetton is so weird and unexpected that works in the context of this collection…

Kindly,

Mario.
