FASHIONPHILOSOPHY FASHION WEEK POLAND SS/16 – KLAUDIA MARKIEWICZ – PHOTOS BY MIKE PASARELLA

Dear Shaded Viewers,

For her second runway outing, Klaudia Markiewicz stuck to color, roundness and inventive streetwear, delivering upbeat and optimistic clothes. Roomier than last season, the silhouette focused on tunics and cozy tops, as well as fluid pleated skirts and oversized ribbon knits. The collection echoed the restless energy of 90s rave culture, with a hint of japonisme; an orange coat featured a shawl collar and its fabric belt referenced traditional obis, while platform sandals were worn with clashing socks. Markiewicz combined shades to striking effect, such as forest green and light pink, or pale blue with orange. She also introduced menswear this season, focusing on sharper lines and slim separates. Her iridescent biker coat in bright blue was an alluring proposal.

Best,

Philippe
