Coco Chanel: a New Portrait by Marion Pike. Paris 1967-71 at London College of Fashion

Dear Shaded Viewers,

During my last trip to London, I was delighted to discover "Coco Chanel: a New Portrait by Marion Pike. Paris 1967-71" at London College of Fashion. Benjamin Whyman gave me a little tour of the exhibition, presenting the unusual friendship between the painter and celebrated fashion designer. Chanel was often portrayed as a recluse at the end of her life, but she was very close to Pike and their bond was real. The exhibition showcases private letters, photographs, paintings and objects belonging to both women. You can check it out at Fashion Space Gallery, London College of Fashion, 20 John Princes Street, until the 16th of November.

Best,

Philippe
