Aside from my constant fascination with the work of the tulip master, Ronald van der Hilst I am totally enchanted by the images of a dilapidated park in central Havana in the current issue of Bloom.

The blanket of dripping green lace covering the trees is a result of a vine that eventually kills the trees called kudzu imported in the Americas from Japan in 1876. It is a hauntingly beautiful death but a death none the less.
