Dear Shaded Viewers,

For Spring/Summer 2027, KIDILL steps away from large graphic statements to focus on construction and material. Designer Hiroaki Sueyasu explores new ways of building familiar garments, giving jackets, shirts, denim, and tailoring unexpected proportions and movement through pattern-making and handcraft.

The collection combines reconstructed tartans, cracked paint finishes that gradually reveal hidden details through wear, layered graphics, and a collaboration with Juicy Couture inspired by the visual language of the early 2000s. Oversized hoodies, embellished denim, and distorted silhouettes reflect Sueyasu’s continued interest in experimentation.

Titled CHAOTIC DISCORD, the collection reflects Sueyasu’s belief that chaos is constantly evolving. As Hiroaki puts it: “Chaos itself is something that is continually rewritten by time. Expressions that once emerged on the street as chaos can, before long, settle into place as a kind of classic uniform. I still want to embed mystery and secrets within clothing.”

Yours digitally,
Pedro
