For Fall/Winter 2026–2027, Georges Chakra begins beneath the surface. Corsetry forms the foundation of every silhouette, revealing the architecture usually hidden inside a couture garment. Boned bodices remain visible, velvet cording follows the body’s internal lines, and embroidered lattices replace traditional fabric, exposing construction as part of the final composition.
There is a quiet sense of impermanence running through the collection. Beauty is presented as something fleeting, made more powerful by its transience. That idea shapes the rhythm of the silhouettes as much as the choice of materials, creating garments that feel precise without losing their emotional resonance.
Black provides the collection’s anchor, appearing in crepe, velvet, Chantilly lace, and gazar across sculpted columns, mermaid gowns, and abbreviated evening dresses. Moments of saturated color interrupt that restraint through vivid red embroidered with paillettes and feathers, cobalt layered over black tulle, and sweeping volumes of fuchsia duchesse satin. Panniers, balloon skirts, and metallic gazar are handled with the same discipline found in the Maison’s sharply tailored tuxedos.
Craftsmanship remains at the center of the collection. Raffia thread, Charleston fringe, fiberglass paillettes, feather flowers, and recurring bows introduce texture without overwhelming the silhouettes. The finale arrives in ivory, where a pearl embroidered lattice corset rests over gathered taffeta, bringing together structure, ornament, and delicacy in a single closing statement.
