Dear Shaded Viewers,
Transforming the Royal Horticultural Halls into a winter wonderland, Richard Quinn presented his Autumn/Winter 2025 collection last Friday. The British designer departed from the typical runway this season, opting instead for an immersive experience which transported attendees to a scene reminiscent of a classic Hollywood film.
The show’s set design was a marvel, featuring a snow-dusted Georgian townhouse, complete with Victorian lamps and gently falling snow. This enchanting backdrop perfectly complemented the collection’s theme. The collection itself also fit the bill, drawing inspiration from the glamorous eras of 20th-century Hollywood, specifically the 1930s through the 1980s. Silhouettes, reminiscent of Dior’s “New Look” and the elegance of legendary actresses, combined with cinched waists, voluminous skirts, and intricate details, evoked a powerful sense of nostalgia and sophistication.
Highlighting his bridal prowess, Quinn also presented a diverse range of wedding gowns, from modern minis to classic satins. Cinched waists, full skirts, and detailed embellishments were refined yet contemporary.
Richard Quinn once again revealed the hidden beauty in every occasion — a feat which he is renowned for, granting women the freedom to reinvent themselves with timeless elegance.
Later,
Bethany
