Dear Shaded Viewers,
To celebrate the release of Queer, the film adaptation of William S. Burroughs’ novel, JW Anderson announces an exclusive capsule collection. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and starring Daniel Craig and Drew Starkey, the film features costume design by Jonathan Anderson.
The collection features graphics aligning with the film’s posters, central imagery, and themes of Queer across ready-to-wear and accessories. Hoodies with bead-embellished drawstrings and ‘Queer’ written accross them, perfectly align with elements from the film.
The hoodies, available in grey and navy, subtly feature the poignant quote, ‘I want to talk to you… without speaking,’ printed on the back. Four sweatshirts showcase the film’s title and credits, mirroring the official Queer poster design. These come in a vibrant palette of grey, gold, bright pink, and steel blue. A collection of additional sweatshirts in cornflower blue, light pink, maroon, and bright green are adorned with evocative imagery from the film. These include stills of Craig and Starkey, symbolic representations of guns and landscapes, and a flat lay of significant objects from the storyline. The blue-steel T-shirt boldly displays the film’s title, while a grey melange T-shirt features a striking graphic inspired by the centipede necklace, a powerful symbol of transformation within the film.
Accessories reflect the film’s visual language. An off-white tote bag showcases a still from the film, while two caps in khaki and navy prominently display the word ‘Queer,’ subtly weaving together the film’s distinctive imagery and core themes.
The collection is available now in both the JW Anderson store in London, Soho, JW Anderson in Milan and at jwanderson.com.
Later,
