Dear Shaded Viewers,
She is a Spanish-born, London-based designer who was the semi-finalist for the LVMH prize and was named by the NYT as an emerging designer to watch. The craft and technique in her silhouettes show a skill in sourcing headstock and recycled materials. The color and draping skills highlight the figure while also conveying movement noticed even in a still image. The ruching elevates the color and embellishes a shoulder pad here and a sleeve there and gives a new angle to the simple skirt and coat. Her cropped halter tops and peekaboo breast shirts are something to consider. Lastly, let us not forget the statement hats! We look forward to seeing what the designer has in store for us as someone who has previously worked with the likes of Margiela, Gucci, and Kanye West.
