Dear Shaded Viewers,
This collection was so much fun and meaningful that I could not help but smile. The idea of exploring what whiteness is instead of the brand’s normal need to defend their BIPOC identity was such a refreshing way of playing with and exploring codes created by white people.

GmbH SPRING 2022 started as a research into whiteness

3 when white people won’t stop talking about being discriminated against for being white, so they just fade into the background and you don’t notice it.

The show features two collaborations:
1. Jewellery by Nhat-Vu Dang for GmbH
2. A ÂFree Palestine t-shirt in collaboration with the queer Palestinian fashion label Trashy Clothing, based on their archival Palestine research. All proceeds from these designs will go to LGBTQ+ Palestinian groups.
