ALEXANDRA MOURA – MODALISBOA SS/16 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY RUI VASCO

Dear Shaded Viewers,

A refreshing sense of lightness defined Alexandra Moura's show, which was presented during the last edition of ModaLisboa. Referencing sportswear shapes and using innovative fabrics -such as bonded neoprene and textured jacquard- the designer offered generous shapes while exploring bolder tones, such as pink, blue and red. The mood of the show was upbeat and playful, with unfinished bows and ribbons embellishing several pieces. Moura's spontaneous hand was charming and poetic, as well as her romantic touch, visible in her use of mesh and flower-inspired patterns. Of course, a Moura collection wouldn't be complete without solid black. A pair of tailored pants with suspenders did the trick, evoking the graphic style of 1980s chic.

Best,

Philippe
