ALEXANDRA MOURA – MODALISBOA SS/15 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY RUI VASCO

Dear Shaded Viewers,

This is my first time attending ModaLisboa and the collections standing out the most offer an attractive balance between creativity and commerce. That was the case with Alexandra Moura, who presented a strong collection combining plain denim with sportswear accents like mesh or nylon, using loose volumes as well as breathable fabrics. Focusing on a color palette of blues, black and white, the collection was urban, youthful and dynamic. Hems were frayed on several pieces while ruffles added a romantic touch to wardrobe staples. Working with womenswear and menswear at the same time, Moura blurred the boundaries between genders, coming up with a concemporary and seductive proposal. It was a convincing outing from the Lisbon-based designer.

Best,

Philippe
