Google and Luxottica have announced a strategic partnership for Glass to develop innovative iconic wearable devices

Dear Shaded Viewers,

This is exciting news, the whole idea of wearable devices has always been around but to make them desirable to wear is brand new territory. I remember about 15 years ago Alain Mikli made a wearable pair of glasses with a camera integrated into the frames but I did not like the way they looked and had one of the 'Fashioned Out' team wear them instead of me. The image was in black and white and a bit flou. I'm not sure what Luxottica and Google have in mind, computers, cameras…lets see. Years have passed and with the new development and merging of two iconic brands,  Luxottica and Google (NASDAQ; GOOG),   I'm sure we will all be wearing iconic devices pretty soon. The match of high tech developers with fashion designers and eyewear professionals working on design, development, tooling and engineering of Glass products leaves me dreaming.

Later,

Diane
