Dear Shaded Viewers,

The Dalston area of London has long been high on fashion but
lacking sharp-end art – now new project space Point Zero is seeking to redress
the balance.

Group show Flesh Reality explores our relationship with the
human body and made an immediate impact, with its private view attended by over
800 gallery goers. A live – and naked – performance that 'activated' an
alien-esque sculpture piece by Konrad Wyrebek created a charged atmosphere,
with the crowds also taking in bold works by the likes of Sarah Lucas, Erwin
Wurm, Laurie Simmons.

Combining leading world artists with emerging London talent,
such as Matthew Miles and Whitney McVeigh, the intriguing show spans video,
painting, print, photography and sculpture. Highlights include Simmons' lonely
Love Doll; Miles' dream-lensed two screen video work; a key piece from Lucas's
NUD sculpture series and a film of a 1968 performance by the late coreographer
Tatsumi Hijikata with twisting, pulsing limbs and searingly evocative staging
and costume.
