Thanksgiving greetings from Pierre Carrilero, aka Pierrot

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Living in Paris it is easy to forget my once favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. I have fond memories of past Thanksgivings spent with Eric and Pierrot years ago when they were both living in Paris. Eric is American and Pierre is French but loves Americana. This year I will be in Switzerland at the Stella Awards where  one lucky designer will have many reasons to be thankful (Swiss Textiles 100,000 euros prize). By the way I can not believe that Isabel Toledo did not walk off with the 200,000$ CFDA/VOGUE FUND. What was that about, God knows she deserves it.Ruben and Isabel Toledo did win the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award last month.

Here is my dear friend Pierre Carrilero at home in the woods. He is out there chopping down some wood for the fire, surrounded by a heard of camo/guys and gun shots, hunting season…and preparing the Thanksgiving feast in a frenzy of cooking pies and cakes  and was thinking of me…and I am thinking that it has been far too long since we last saw each other in NYC.  Later, Diane
