My Heart Will Go On: Florentina Leitner’s SS26 Is a Neon Dream of Youth and Heartbreak

Florentina Leitner’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, My Heart Will Go On, is a love letter to youth, chaos, and the kind of summer that feels endless until it suddenly isn’t. Drawing on the surreal Americana of Harmony Korine’s Gummo and Spring Breakers, Leitner crafts a fever dream of teenage rebellion and romance.

At the heart of the collection lies a collaboration with Paul Frank, the early-2000s icon of cartoon cool. Julius the Monkey and Bunny Girl make an unexpected comeback, stamped across cropped tees, miniskirts, and accessories. Leitner reimagines them not as nostalgic novelties, but as emblems of playful defiance and symbols of a generation raised on irony and intimacy. It’s Y2K revival through a distinctly Florentina lens: ironic, cinematic, and irresistibly vivacious.

Silhouettes riff on suburban rebellion—baggy skater shorts and oversized hoodies clashed with glossy skirts and bikini tops. The collection also features knee-high socks paired with slip-on vans and bunny ears on hoods. There’s a deliberate mismatch to it all, the same kind of artful disarray that defines a teenage bedroom. Hawaii flower prints and laser-cut leather nod to beach-town escapism, while customised skateboards, emblazoned with Leitner’s dreamy motifs, cement the skater-girl muse as the season’s protagonist.

The palette hums with energy: fluorescent pinks and acid greens collide with washed denim and soft greys, while polka dots and stripes weave throughout. Accessories play into the fantasy through monkey-shaped backpacks, leopard-print bows, neon hair clips, and chunky jewellery by Melted Potato. It’s girlish, but never naive; sugary, but always self-aware.

Leitner continues to prove she’s a master of turning cinematic emotion into something wearable. My Heart Will Go On captures that fleeting magic between innocence and desire—the thrill of first kisses, the ache of growing up, the beauty of something burning out too soon. In her hands, nostalgia and rebellion collide, creating a sun-soaked, undeniably cool vision of youth.
