Litkovska x Nick Knight Capsule Collection Launch – The Flowers Know Better

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The Ukrainian designer Lilia Litkovska holds a special place in my heart. A while ago we talked about her upcoming collaberation with  British image-maker Nick Knight. Among many other things Nick Knight is known for his images of flowers.  The Flowers Know Better capsule collection, launching on February 6, is not just another fashion line—it’s a statement of resilience, a testament to the human spirit’s ability to find beauty in the darkest of times.

This union of Litkovska’s craftsmanship and Knight’s visionary floral imagery goes beyond mere aesthetics. It’s a poignant reminder of nature’s persistence, even in the face of destruction. As Litkovska eloquently puts it, the flowers that grow through rubble and on battlefields are not just decorative; they are beacons of hope, demonstrating the indomitable power of beauty. As a poignant parting gesture, guests departing Litkovska’s emotive show last season were greeted with an array of wildflowers, inviting them to craft their own bouquets—a tactile memento that allowed the collection’s essence to linger, perfuming their day with nature’s resilient beauty.

The collection, part of LITKOVSKA’s Spring-Summer 2025 lineup, draws inspiration from the Ukrainian concept of Жнива (Zhynyva), or ‘harvest.’ From cotton bandanas to tailored jackets, each piece in the capsule is a delicate balance of fragility and strength. The standout T-shirt, emblazoned with “Flowers Know Better,” serves as the collection’s manifesto. But this is more than just a fashion statement. It’s a call to action. All profits from the collection will be channeled to City of Goodness, a Ukrainian humanitarian initiative supporting women and children affected by war. In partnering with Be an Angel e.V., an organization that has been on the ground in Ukraine since March 2022, LITKOVSKA and Knight are using their platforms to effect real change.

The campaign, featuring Ukrainian actress Solomiia Kyrylova of “Pamfir” fame, further cements the collection’s roots in Ukrainian culture and storytelling. Available online and at select global retailers, including the prestigious Dover Street Market Ginza in Tokyo and Antonioli in Milan, the collection is set to make waves far beyond Ukraine’s borders.

Nick Knight’s involvement adds another layer of gravitas to the project. His statement against violence and brutality of all kinds underscores the collection’s message: that even in the darkest times, art and beauty can provide solace and shine a light on human suffering. As fashion enthusiasts and conscious consumers alike flock to litkovska.com and select retailers worldwide, they’re not just buying clothes—they’re participating in a movement. A movement that believes in the power of creativity to heal, to support, and to make a difference. In a world often divided, the Flowers Know Better capsule collection stands as a reminder of our shared humanity. It proves that fashion, when imbued with purpose, can be a powerful force for good—a beacon of hope blooming amidst the rubble of conflict.
