Balenciaga opened its largest store in Beijing’s Taikoo Li Sanlitun shopping complex and it is 13,000 square feet of sublime, industrial beauty. The ‘Subtleties of a Dialogue” show that I visited at the Kering headquarters in Paris last September were in exhibition there with eight archival looks, 4 from Cristobal and 4 from Demna. As in Paris at the Kering headquarters clients can try the Apple Vision Pro headset and have fun exploring the app’s possibilities. I for one could not try this out in Paris because headsets and my hair just don’t work. In addition to the exhibition, there were six exclusive product launches and the brand’s men’s and women’s collection along with jewelry, eyewar and other accessories like those desirable handbags.
The top floor of the Beijing flagship has a private shopping suite.
