Pam Hogg’s ‘Of Gods and Monsters’: A Sartorial Rebellion at London Fashion Week

Dear Shaded Viewers,

British fashion icon Pam Hogg unveils her latest collection, ‘Of Gods and Monsters’, at Emalin Gallery during London Fashion Week, blending her signature punk aesthetic with urgent political themes. The exhibition serves as a powerful commentary on global injustices and the impacts of conflict, challenging viewers to confront uncomfortable truths.

A Call to ActionHogg’s collection is more than just fashion; it’s a rallying cry for change. “It’s an unfair and imbalanced world. There is no time like the present to correct this… please use your voice,” she declares. This sentiment echoes throughout the exhibition, with each piece telling a harrowing story of displacement and marginalization.
Sustainable CreativityIn a nod to sustainability, Hogg crafted the entire collection from repurposed materials found in her studio. This approach not only showcases her resourcefulness but also adds layers of meaning to each piece. The result is a collection that is both visually striking and conceptually rich.
Blurring Boundaries‘Of Gods and Monsters’ marks Hogg’s first foray into exhibiting her work in a gallery setting, effectively blurring the lines between fashion and art. This fusion allows for a more immersive experience, inviting viewers to engage with the pieces on a deeper level.Standout PiecesThe exhibition features several powerful works, including:

  • “Nostalgia for a New Age to Come” (2012-2024)
  • “Palestine ‘Home'” (2024)
