Regretfully We Missed Your Paris Show, But Cherishing the 10-Year Look Book Celebration at Y/Project Photography by Arnaud Lajeunie

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Glenn Marten’s latest collection, featured models and personalities draped in enigmatic veils and adorned with shape-shifting garments, echoes the solemnity of “pleurants” – women historically hired to mourn at gravesites, their grief depicted in sculpted figures adorning monumental tombs or war memorials. The 1986 film The Name of the Rose was also a clear inspiration.

Among the highlights were shirts with adjustable features and hoods that seamlessly transformed into capes. Instead of allocating the budget of 450,000 euros to a traditional runway show, Glenn chose to invest directly into the collection. This season, the collection was exclusively presented through a look book.

This unique project serves as a tribute to Glenn’s decade-long tenure as the creative director, bringing together friends and family to honor his artistic legacy. Captured by Arnaud Lajeunie, the look book features a diverse array of iconic personalities, including Ye, Charli XCX, Lamine Badian Kouyate, Mel Ottenberg, Ursina Gysi, Glenn’s father, Haley Whollens, Olivier Zahm, Mia Khalifa, Tyga, Irina Shayk, and more.

Later,

Diane
