Absolutely dreamy collection by Dries Van Noten, celebrating optimism and flowers in bloom

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Watching the show I felt like I was in a dream. It opened unexpectedly with black but soon turned to faded pastels followed by the most delicate flower print. Flowers of all sizes and a magical mix of prints. Dries is the only designer that ever got me to wear colour. Who knows one day maybe even flowers. Structured pieces inspired by Malevich’s Black Square, pastels like the memory of a colour and you know that Dries has the most outstanding garden although I’ve only seen it in photos.

The show notes spoke of protection and vulnerability. A mix of masculine and feminine, hard and soft. Powerful and delicate. A timeless collection that only Dries can create.

Later,

Diane
