For Saint-Valentine’s Day Gucci has collaborated with the artist from Los Angeles, Ariana Papademetropoulos, to create a limited edition fanzine called « A Love Story »

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Digital and print versions of “A Love Story” by Gucci in collaborations with the artist Ariana Papademetropoulos follow a little fairy played by Ariana in her quest for a suitable love partner helped in her quest by an artist and friend Isabelle Albuquerque. Through out the fanzine the idea is that through love we transcend our differences.

Ariana Papademetropoulos is known for her exploration of the psychological effects of interior and domestic spaces.Through her hyper-realistic dream scenes she captures the experience of waking up from a dream.

The Valentine’s Day 2022 collection, conceived by creative director Alessandro Michele, forms a subtle narrative backdrop. Love plays a central role in this selection of items, which includes new geometric chain bags with heart-shaped multi-facets and others reminiscent of popcorn jars. All are decorated with the word ‘LOVE’ printed on the top, the leitmotif of the selection. This whimsical spirit is reflected in Ace trainers, sandal mules and scarves decorated with the GG monogram fabric, as well as a selection of pink Padlock and Petite Marmont bags, decorated with tone-on-tone strawberry and cherry motifs.

The fanzine is available online at https://lovestory.gucci.com/ . A limited edition print version will be distributed in the Gucci Garden bookstore in Florence and at Gucci Wooster in New York from February 10th, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
