Dear Shaded Viewers,
Initiated a year ago, at the very beginning of the stupor of confinement, between a mother living in Buenos Aires and her daughter, Celeste Leeuwenburg, in Paris, Nosotras Cautivas proposes a meeting between artists around the playful experience of the Cadavre Exquis. Delia Cancela and Celeste Leeuwenburg, accompanied by Julia Nowodworski, themselves artists, decided to invite their peers in France and Argentina and to extend the journeys that had previously been so natural around the blank sheet of paper. Supported by the Institut Français d’Argentine in their approach, they presented Nosotras Cautivas in the Nuit des Idées “Etre proche” on 28 January 2021.
