Classic fashion journalism usually pays little attention to the value of a creator’s work. I’m not talking about it in marketing terms but in social ones. The idea of fashion usually is imagined to trickle down, from the fashion industry to the masses. But evidence shows the contrary. The rise of sports and streetwear on this and the last century are a proof of that. So, the opinion of people is more important than ever. At least is something that wakes up my interest, as something worth being documented. After all, listening to random people’s opinions is almost as listening to the collective unconscious.
So as a personal experiment I shared some images from Cem Cinar Spring Summer 2021 with different women around the world. I thought it would be interesting to have their opinions since Cem Cinar is a totally new brand. His first collection from his eponymous brand is being launched in the frame of the Spring Summer 2021 presentations.
