Dear Shaded Viewers,

To celebrate the friendship between Azzedine Alaïa and Thierry Mugler, a conversation was held—an intimate gathering that revisited the profound creative complicity that bound the two designers over decades. Their friendship, grounded in trust and respect, inspired some of the boldest and most creative expressions in fashion. It served as a quiet reminder that when creation emerges from deep connection and trust, it transcends time.

The event moderated by philosopher Emanuele Coccia brought together voices who had lived that story from within: Violeta Sanchez, model and muse; Zaza, Mugler’s lifelong assistant and close collaborator of Alaïa; Antoine Kruk, illustrator and creator of emblematic designs for Mugler; Olivier Saillard, Director of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation; and Carla Sozzani, its President.

The evening paid tribute to these two great visionaries, marked by memories, laughter, and a sense of beauty that can only be born of true friendship.
