VI MMXX by Valentina Ilardi photos by Peppe Tortora

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The force behind the new brand VI MMXX is Valentina Ilardi, a freelance stylist that founded her own magazine, GREY, in 2009. The magazine – distributed in 32  countries as well as working as an active freelance Creative Director she has curated press campaigns and videos.

VI MMXX merges genders, rich fashion,  street culture, 90’s raves, rap and trap world, Japanese avant-garde as well as that of the traditional quintessential Roman Couture. The collection is a scrapbook of her life experiences as well as her work as the force behind Grey Magazine. The eclectic collage is produced in materials such as lace, tulle, fishnets, technical materials, reflective textiles and assorted layers in contrasting fabrics. For example: lace overalls and ruffled skirts paired with bombers and streetwear like track suits, bermudas and shorts and the bathrobe. The men’s line focuses on technical materials and mixing classic silhouettes. The collection is Made in Italy.
