The Voice of Youth: M65 Studio text by Valerie McPhail

Consubstantial expressions of youth are common throughout the outerwear, denim, and leather pieces presented by M65 Studio.  Therefore it only naturally reasons that Tumblr, the networking blog-site company popular among young adult culture would host the brand’s second installment at their New York Headquarters. For designer Anthony Hendrickson the support lends perspective on his brand identity, one found in recollections of his childhood. Updates to the fur coats his “mom would wear to church,” translated into the bulls eyed black and red faux fur vest, and the Joseph coat: a kaleidoscope of colored mink outerwear. Rainbow tie dyed tees and motorcycle jackets fringed with leather and adorned in chain straps are loud characters that bring his story of growing up among New York City’s night life era, to life.

Though memories from the past may drive inspiration for the brand, visions for the future of fashion focus on custom denim. A business model for the new designer, M65 Studio will promise personalized fit, cut and style of wash in three weeks. Shirtless models wearing light washed, wide leg flare, baggy boot cut, and a black slim jeans exposed Hendrickson’s specialty.
