NO AGE / NO GENDER – EUGÈNE RICONNEAUS & UNDUN – TEXT BY GÉRALDINE POSTEL

Dear Shaded viewers,

Please meet UNDUN.

UNDUN is a No Gender No Age Shoe Collection, which finds its roots in the skating background of the designer. 26 years old Eugène Riconneaus stays haunted by his ideals, and sheds light on essential and inspiration design straight from the Millennials stories for his new brand.

Heart-split between the sensuality, frivolity and audacity of the design of the women's collections he has compiled for the past 8 seasons*,  there is the other Eugène : Eugène Riconneaus the artist. Superimposing the gestures of action painting on Larry Clark's photographs, like a bad kid running over his own heritage, Eugène skates over the prints of the controversial youth movie master. Eugène has always been making skate shoes; in fact, he started making shoes because he was a skater. (This happened when his mother decided to stop buying him the X new pair of sneakers that he'd ruin in less than a week).

With his own resources, energy and DIY tools, the young Eugène is following a great path, sticking to his own aesthetics. He straddles the line between the desires of being a young man designing fetish shoes for ladies, and staying like an eternal kid.

Men, women and transgender – with UNDUN the other line of Eugène Riconneaus, you can jump in your sneakers and slide them on, the laces are already done and all you just have to, is to keep on keeping !

Géraldine
