FASHIONPHILOSOPHY FASHION WEEK POLAND SS/16 – ODIO X PIECZARKOWSKI – PHOTOS BY MIKE PASARELLA

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The 13th edition of FASHIONPHILOSOPHY Fashion Week Poland confirmed the talent of young, independent designers who have carved their own niche within the country's growing fashion market. ODIO X PIECZARKOWSKI belongs to this group, and the new collection did not disappoint. Famous for his prints, use of color, sharp tailoring and innovative take on sportswear, Jakub Pieczarkowski balanced the sweet and the sickly, referencing prim English ladies with a deranged punk edge. Lace separates were embellished and embroidered this time, while patchwork effects adorned most of the garments. Handicraft is one of the brand's trademarks, and the designer's use of graphics was often intriguing. Outerwear was boxy and strong, paired with cropped and flared pants, creating an offbeat silhouette. Think Courtney Love meets Princess Anne.

Best,

Philippe
