MERCEDES-BENZ FASHION WEEK MADRID – DUYOS SS16 TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Presented during the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Madrid, Juan Duyos' show was a standout, combining the highest craftsmanship with effortless elegance and style. Specialized in demi-couture garments, Duyos is Madrid-based and has gathered a loyal clientele over the years. From beautifully tailored suede pantsuits to delightful sequined separates, the collection flattered the body while underlining clean lines and a refined allure. Duyos' dresses were ethereal and inspiring: often opting for virginal white, they had a unique resonance and intimate appeal. Fabrics ranged from weightless chiffon and intricate crochet to buttersoft suede and embroidered tulle. A full-length evening dress -which looked as comfortable as a cotton t-shirt- referenced the richness of Gustav Klimt's paintings, evoking a world of sensuality and pleasures.

Best,

Philippe
