Seven Rays a new menswear brand with DJ/producer Andrew Armstrong from Monarchy as creative Director.Photos by David Edwards

Dear Shaded Viewers,

I met Andrew Armstrong from Monarchy a few years ago when Dita Von Teese used to live in Paris. We had a lovely home cooked  meal and I got to hear a little of the music by the electro band Monarchy, they have done videos, artwork and collaborations with Dita Von Teese. Today Andrew sent me some images from their latest shoot, the first collection of Seven Rays with the theme Memento Mori – Remember Death. Art work for the collection was commissioned by Joe Petagno, an iconic heavy metal artist who designed the Motorhead logos and covers. For Seven Rays he was asked to recast city names into heavy metal bands, the philosophy being that people collect cities like they once collected bands. Paris says one thing, New York another.
