Barbie asked filmmaker Grace Ladoja to round up her crew to discuss all things girls; what it’s like to be a young woman today, what’s important, how they support each other, and to illustrate the precious energy that emanates when a diverse group of young women get together.
With the launch of the new Barbie Fashionistas, which represent girls’ inherent appreciation for variety expressed through authentic fashion and individual style, and Grace and friends being emblematic of emerging creative culture, Grace was asked to create a film of their tumbling thoughts and concerns, their strength in numbers, and how important sisterly support as well as fun, can be so empowering today.
