KOLOVRAT – MODALISBOA FW 15/16 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY RUI VASCO

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Lidija Kolovrat showed an innovative collection during the last edition of ModaLisboa, approaching sportswear shapes and classic tailoring in an edgy manner. Experimenting with different types of furs -which she placed on several outerwear pieces- the Bosnian designer deconstructed standard shapes to come up with fresh proposals. The collection felt tough and androgynous at times, with some outfits looking interchangeable. Kolovrat gave energy to simple wardrobe staples, such as slim black pants, long waistcoats or zip-up sweaters. Her coats were interesting and desirable, wrapped around the body for maximum comfort. She managed to give everyday pieces a singular twist and arty appeal, underlining her skills and strength as a fine tailor.

Best,

Philippe
