Dear Shaded Viewrers,
Just before my final dinner in Beijing with my new friends: Shanghai Bao Yi Feng of ACTIVATION LIQUID, Flora Lau, first time director who screened at Un Certain Regard in the Official Selection and the amazing Yvette Tang, without who I could not imagine Beijing… I ran into Deborah Chent, VP -International Business I.T. She was having dinner downstairs at my lovely hotel, The Opposite House, with Adrian Joffe, Rei Kawakuba and the I.T. team. It was the eve of the re-opening of I.T. Beijing Market. Deborah wisked me downstairs to say hello to Adrian. It was really sweet. Of course, no photos. The opening party is going on right now.
Here are a few images to preview the space. I did manage to sneak a peek at the ground floor on the day that I arrived in Beijing. I loved being greeted by the big white elephant..I should have snapped a photo but I did not.
