Songzio unveils its Spring Summer 2026 womenswear collection in a playful new campaign shot by Szilveszter Makó. Featuring South Korean actress Choi Heejin, Makó constructs a two-dimensional mise-en-scène around her, a now-signature device in the photographer and visual artist’s work.
Established in 1993 and working between Seoul and Paris, Songzio has long been invested in merging fashion and art, with its photographic campaigns being no exception. Honing in on line and proportion, Heejin lies flat over a series of paintings, playfully inserting herself into each scene while dressed in the new collection. Makó creates the illusion that she is upright within the artwork, whether caught in a bluster of wind on the pier or standing on top of a table surrounded by women deep in discussion. The clothes, though subject to gravity as she lies horizontally, appear static and caught mid-motion, creating crisp, fine lines and offering an inventive way to experience their movement through a still image.
Pleated midi skirts are teamed with casual gingham shirts and V-neck sweaters, while other looks introduce fine-knit cardigans and wraparound jackets. Soft pink and peach shirts are finished with embellished brooches and rolled-up sleeves, and a tweed button-up skirt suit and tulip-like red skirt bring a preppy twist. Paired with delicate kitten heels or ballet flats, the collection channels a soft femininity – something Songzio’s womenswear line has long focused on – upheld by the static posing and frozen silhouettes, which help to emphasise its structural qualities.
