Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
Yesterday was spent seeing what’s happening at that stands of Pitti Uomo – an exhausting time, but a good time.
Starting with Avery Perfume Gallery, this distributor has a clear sense of taste in packaging and presentation, not to mention the lovely scents on offer. They are working with Diane on her fragrances that will be launched in Paris in September.

South Korea
The guest nation of Pitti Uomo #86, the South Korean building housed some nice discoveries. Beyond Closet is a very popular label in Korea that uses dogs as their main motif on sportswear-style garments.

Resurrection by Ju Young Lee also uses sportswear as a framework for creativity, this time with particular attention to fine leather details.

Norwegian Rain
This label is based in a small Norwegian town called Bergen, and creates honest high-quality outerwear. Their stand was not focused on product, which was a nice change for Pitti, but more-so on the Japanese sensibility of the brand. The pieces are tailored, functional and very beautiful; the type of outerwear you could wear in a hailstorm and arrive to a board meeting looking perfectly the part.
