Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
Recently Kiev Fashion Days took place in Ukraine's capital. Amidst the political turmoil, young Ukranian designers showed their collections under the banner Fashion for Peace. Though I did not attend, Daria Shapovalova, the event's creative director graciously sent me photos of all the shows. Below you can find a selection of my favorite looks.
I liked most the collections of Alisa Kuzembaeva, with its hard edge balancing the feminine elements, and Andreeva, which reminded me of Balenciaga of the Ghesquiere era, so they get the special Diane Pernet prize – two photos instead of one!
