DRIES VAN NOTEN INSPIRATIONS AT MUSEE DES ARTS DECORATIFS DE PARIS – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI PHOTOS BY DIANE PERNET

Dear Shaded Viewers,

One of Paris Fashion Week's major highlights, Dries Van Noten's retrospective -entitled Inspirations- did not disappoint guests and friends of the designer who were invited during a private opening last night. Besides displaying more than 25 years of his own collections, the exhibition also creates a fascinating dialogue between contemporary art, historical pieces and key designer clothes from the past 100 years. The timelessness of Van Noten's designs is further emphasized, as well as his incredible breadth of knowledge and experience. In typical Belgian fashion, the retrospective is more about the ones exciting Van Noten than himself, accounting for his humility and incredible talent. Inspirations runs until the 31st of August.

Best,
Philippe
