Dear Diane and Shaded Viewers,
The Spring/Summer collection from Moon Young Hee was modest, wearable, and interesting.
There was a focus on external and internal structuring, with darts facing outwards on dresses and shirts, creating a incidental collar of sorts. Moon Young Hee also used scrunched tulle to progress this exaggerated neckline that I thought was really lovely, though not something that hasn't been seen before. However, somehow when this was paired with the stiff wide-leg culottes and the models in sneakers, it felt fresh and relevant. The final looks used an effervescent silk-blended fabric that gave just a little sparkle, but of course not in a gaudy way. Probably my favourite show of fashion week, Day 1.
And just quickly – isn't this coat a dream. It reminds me a little of a Charles James coat that Diane and I were worshipping last week.
Happy Thursday,
Sophie
