Dear Shaded Viewers and Diane,

Flakes of tourmaline and smoky quartz,
shiny and sharp in shades of celeste and mint, dusted the front row seats at
the Astrid Andersen solo catwalk debut here at London Collections: Men. Fragments
of balance and power, insight and luck, wisdom and ritual, the stones inspired
a collection that wonders the masculine equilibrium between strength and
sensitivity with pale, crystal sportswear. Nylons, velvet, transparencies and white
lace recall the smooth and polished, pastel surface of the minerals, pellucid
talismans for the Andersen team. Their prestige, their confidence and competitive
energy instead inform Andersen's athletic, muscled silhouettes in cohesive
urban uniforms: tank tops, hoods, fur lined backpacks with golden zips, on the loud
and fierce hip-hop notes of Wu-Tang's C.R.E.A.M.
