YOHJI YAMAMOTO FALL WINTER 13/14 – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

Dear Shaded Viewers,

Yohji Yamamoto showed an energetic and multilayered collection last night, experimenting with texture, sculptural shapes and new tailoring proportions. He also used shots of intense color, which felt unusual. Pleated origami dresses were strong, as well as mannish, three-piece suits, worn with funky platforms. Think Annie Hall meets Velvet Goldmine.
