Federico Poletti happy at last in our water taxi
Dear Shaded Viewers,
Life has improved greatly today, 5 water taxis were enough to eradicate the public transport. Thank you Federico and Christian Besana, the owner of ABC Manichini for providing our transport to the Trame di Moda/Fashioning Cinema exhibition. The exhibition has been designed and curated by Fabiana Giacomotti, writer and lecturer in Fashion and Apparel Science at La Sapienza University in Rome together with Alessandro Lai, designer and art historian with a setting devised by Sergio Colantuoni. It was an opportunity for me to see the amazing costumes from films like Fellini's Casanova, Death in Venice by Piero Tosci for Silvano Mangano, Sandy Powell's The WIngs of the Dove, costumes from Mambo, Senso, The Talented Mr. Ripley and The Tourist.

I loved the costumes from SENSO and would dream to have that beautiful black lace veil.

The BARBIE duo for Europe with Mr. ABC Manichini who supplied the mannequins for the exhibition as well as gracefully provided my water taxi to and from the exhibition. THANK YOU.
I was happy to meet these lovely Shaded Viewers
In addition to the film costumes there was a large selection of the designs that the stars wore to their openings.
If you do not have a private boat…water taxi is the only way I wish to travel in Venice.
