Maddalena Grassi Polito at her shop Amaranto
Dear Shaded Viewers,
There is a lovely multi brand shop called Amaranto that is housed in Hotel Baglioni and today I went to visit Maddalena Grassi Polito, the owner and buyer for the shop. Everything is either designed by an Italian or made in Italy, with no exceptions. In addition to the fashion they also make their own brand of cologne and bath products called ORTIGIA. My particular favorite was Fico d'India. Most of the brands that are carried in the shop are emerging talents or brands that cannot be found anywhere else in Milan. I was also quite intrigued by the chandlier that is made of crystal and you can redesign every day if you are in that mood.
