Dear Diane, Dear Shaded Viewers,
Greetings from the land of glittering stars. Here are some of my favorites that kept me intrigued during the Golden Globe Awards.
My neighbor Angelina Jolie gave us elegant, regal movie star (and queen of the universe) style better than anyone else. Its in her posture as well. (I am personally thankful for my childhood ballet teacher in Virginia who smacked me in the small of the back with a cane anytime less than perfect posture happened. I am sure it would only have happened twice). The Atelier Versace gown with a pop of red accented her tiny waist and was a nice architectural element in framing her face. Red makes blue eyes bluer. Is anything more classic Hollywood royalty than the pearly glow of an exquisitely cut bias cut gown?
Jane Fonda in Jack Guisso. Fantastic dress on her. Hot!!! (Oh, she's 74… Case in point folks, good posture!)
Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci. Simply lovely. Love the bustle.
Zooey Deschanel in custom Prada. The green is wonderful on her. Loved her 1960s hair.
Sexy-sexy womanly in Gucci, Salma Hayek. 24k smile. She looked fantastic on camera.
Kristin Wiig in Bill Blass. This funny lady is keeping it simple & chic. Nice lines.
A beautiful bird. Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci. (photo credit Getty Images)
Dianna Agron in Giles Deacon. Laser cut layers of swans. Gorgeous and fun, the way getting dressed up and being able to have nearly any designer in the world loan you a dress should be.
xoxo from la la land…
