Dear Shaded Viewers,

It all started when Sayoko Paris proposed we spend New Year's Eve together in the Japanese tradition of eating soba noodles for prosperity and good health for the new year. My personal tradition for New Years eve is that I don't ever go anywhere where I cannot walk home as the taxi situation  in Paris is impossible and I just don't have that full time chauffeur yet, maybe the noodles will help…

Problem was Sayoko got sick and we were the only table of non Japanese in YEN that is until Gerard Depardieu came in with his two female friends. He's looking a bit Orson Welles these days but I suppose he's happy that way.

Dinner started at 5pm and was over by 8pm, Seth and Marco went off separately to a night of partying, As the taxi approached my neighborhood I was astonished by the calm, it was the first time in years that the fireworks at the Eiffel Tower were cancelled. The driver told me it was for security reasons.

I wish you all the happiest, healthiest, most inspired, joyful  and ,of course, most prosperous new year.

Later,

Diane
