Today I assisted at the final selection for the 22nd edition of the Festival d’Hyeres. Msr. Christian Lacroix looked at every single dossier and was gracious enough to take the time out when clearly he is under the pressure of having his couture show next Tuesday. Respect. Images are from today’s jury. We were selecting 10 finalists. Everyone pictured in this post is not necessarily in the final ten.
This dress got put on backwards by mistake and looked great, even better from the front, the dress was designed by Emi Sekiguchi and Shiori Suzuki
This one I labeled Caligula, I think guys would look great in this underwear.THey were not so sure how to put on Sandra Backlund.

Jean Pierre Blanc is the director of the festival and has been for the past 22 years, ever since he had the idea to create it when he was l9 years old. He put the sleepy little town in the south of France on the map.This year there were more international applicants than ever. At the risk of sounding self promoting, I do believe that www.ashadedviewonfashion.com had a lot to do with that.
Jean Pierre Blanc the director of the festival and Armand the owner of l’Eclaireur. Who, by the way, was absolutely great on the jury. There was a tendency for designers to spend more time on the dossier and not enough on the creation. I loved the idea of presenting the artwork inside the gold framed painting.

Andam is always looking for bright new talents to help, they can be French but also foreigners, all over the world (and be under 40 of age). If living abroad (London, Tokyo, Bruxelles, Anvers…), they just have to present us a collection linked with Paris (show-room, fashion show…).
