Dear Shaded Viewers,

I met Ilenia Corti and Matteo Mena with their Vernissage project at Luxury Vendome last month. Born in 2007, vernissage is produced in Italy, the collection is created by expert craftsmen who collaborate with on eof the leading maisons in the field, Santagostino, owned by the Corti family.

Vernissage bring to light the part of a jewel that is normally hidden, The skeleton, normally the base upon which decorations and stones are set, is highlighted by a filigree of twisted Godronato burnished gold. Each piece is carved by hand, like the stone cuts and sets. The collection is made of unique pieces, reproducible but never identical.
