BRUSSELS 28TH INTERNATIONAL FANTASTIC FILM FESTIVAL – TEXT BY PHILIPPE POURHASHEMI

FFF

Dear Shaded Viewers,

The 28th edition of Brussels' International Fantastic Film festival is only one week away and I can't wait to make myself feel scared again! Call me a wimp, but despite my love of horror movies -particularly gore flicks as they are so grotesque- you'll probably catch me slightly out of breath and hiding behind my notes during most of the screenings… Ok, I will definitely try to overcome my fear of obscurity, nasty deaths, sadistic children and dismembered bodies this time around. There are several highlights this year, including Max Sender's Christopher Roth, Sophie Barthes' Cold Souls and Julius Kemp's Reykjavik Whale Watching Massacre. A personal favourite is the Fantastic Night taking place on the 10th of April and starting at midnight. Expect cheers and screams from a devoted audience as it will be one of the best opportunities to watch terrifying films until the early hours.

Best,
Philippe
